Audentior Symphony Orchestra have had a marvellous year packed full of beautiful music, amazing soloists and 3 fabulous sell out concerts.
January started with ASO’s “string weekend” – a wonderful opportunity for string players across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties to come together to make beautiful music. The Orchestra enjoyed works by Dvorak & Tchaikovsky.
March was celebrated with a beautiful spring concert – ASO were joined by the very talented Ian Lynch for Hummels Trumpet Concerto as well as Beethoven 3 and the popular Brahms St Anthony Variations.
In the summer, the concert hall was full to the brim at a sell out concert featuring soloist Ketevan Ward for Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.2 as well as the famous Scherezade and wonderful Rimsky Korsakov Capriccio Espangol.
December saw ASO take on their biggest and most challenging programme yet – “Film Music Spectacular”. The audience enjoyed extracts from “How to train your dragon”, “Pirates of the Carribean”, “Harry Potter”, “Lord of the Rings”, “Star Wars”, “Lawrence of Arabia”, and many other favorites including a very special premier of “Transformer” extracts carefully put together by the talented Danny Basford. The audience were on their feet at the end of the night after what was truly an awesome night.
ASO are very much looking forward to their 2025 season starting with their scratch weekend and concert in January 2025. Please do visit our “events” page to find out how you can book your tickets to our spring and summer concerts in 2025.
