What would my specific responsibilities be?
As Vice Chair, you will be responsible for assisting the Chair in the running of meetings, including compilation and distribution of the agenda, providing clear direction to the discussions and mediating implementation of decisions. As well as assisting the Chair, you must be responsible for stepping in as Chair should they be absent.
What are the responsibilities of the committee?
As a member of the ASO committee:
- You will be required to attend meetings every 2-3 months
- You must attend 60% of meetings within a year, unless there are extenuating circumstances
- Should you not attend meetings for longer than 3 months without apology then you will be asked to resign
- You will be required to carry out the specific responsibilities of your role, as well as demonstrating active involvement in more general committee responsibilities, including organisation and running of concerts
