What would my specific responsibilities be?
As Social Secretary, you will be responsible for organising a range of different social events, which are a key part of building greater enjoyment and commitment to the orchestra. You will be working in close proximity with the Chair, Treasurer and Membership Officer to organise social events in advance, communicate these effectively to the orchestra and ensure smooth running on the day.
What are the responsibilities of the committee?
As a member of the ASO committee:
- You will be required to attend meetings every 2-3 months
- You must attend 60% of meetings within a year, unless there are extenuating circumstances
- Should you not attend meetings for longer than 3 months without apology then you will be asked to resign
- You will be required to carry out the specific responsibilities of your role, as well as demonstrating active involvement in more general committee responsibilities, including organisation and running of concerts
