New Watford orchestra to put on concert of Tchaikovsky and Saint-Saëns

14 February 2022

Watford’s newest orchestra is putting on an exhilarating concert of Tchaikovsky and Saint-Saëns.

Audentior Symphony Orchestra performing their debut concert in December 2019

Audentior Symphony Orchestra’s spring concert will be full of tunes you’ll recognise, whether you’re a seasoned concert-goer or have never been to a classical performance before.

As well as Tchaikovsky’s famous fifth symphony, the orchestra will also perform excerpts from Swan Lake as well as Saint-Saëns’ Bacchanale from Samson et Dalila under the baton of legendary local conductor John Brennan.

The performance is on March 26 at 7.30pm, at St Michael & All Angels’ Church in Watford.

Audentior Symphony Orchestra was set up by a group of young musicians in 2019. Their first concert, a film music spectacular, sold out and now they’re back for more after a two-year interlude as a result of the Covid pandemic.

You can book tickets by visiting their box office. For more details about the orchestra’s concerts and community endeavours, follow them on Facebook @audentiorsymphonyorchestra, Twitter @audentiorsymph or Instagram @audentiorsymphony.
