What would my specific responsibilities be?

As Membership Officer, you will be required to keep records of past and present members of the orchestra, including the necessary personal details (age, contact information, etc.) and their positions in the orchestra. It will be your responsibility to ensure this record is up to date at all times. Additionally, alongside the Treasurer, you will be responsible for ensuring that members pay their subs in a timely manner.

What are the responsibilities of the committee?

As a member of the ASO committee:

  • You will be required to attend meetings every 2-3 months
  • You must attend 60% of meetings within a year, unless there are extenuating circumstances
  • Should you not attend meetings for longer than 3 months without apology then you will be asked to resign
  • You will be required to carry out the specific responsibilities of your role, as well as demonstrating active involvement in more general committee responsibilities, including organisation and running of concerts
